A drug dealer has been jailed after the police found more than £18,000 cash and a cocaine stash.

Youssef Elgour, 24, of Stilton Close, Aylesbury, pleaded guilty to two counts of possession with intent to supply cocaine, two counts of being concerned in the supply of cocaine, and a count each of possession of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis, and acquiring/using or possessing criminal property at Aylesbury Crown Court on January 6.

He was sentenced to three years and four months’ in jail on March 13.

Mr Elgour was caught the first time on June 15 last year after he crashed his vehicle into a member of the public on Paradise Orchard in Aylesbury.

He fled the scene but he was soon arrested nearby after he was seen discarding items.

Thames Valley Police officers found an amount of cocaine and evidence of drug supply in his car.

The member of the public was not seriously injured.

On November last year, Mr Elgour was seen conducting a suspected drug deal on Stilton Close while under investigation for class A drug supply.

After he was detained, a police search revealed a further amount of cocaine, which was seized.

A search of a property revealed a larger amount of cocaine and more than £18,000 in cash, which led to Mr Elgour’s arrest.

He was charged on November 24 last year.

Investigating officer PC Gary Ratcliffe of the Aylesbury Stronghold team said: “Elgour was a drug dealer, and despite being under investigation for other offences, felt he was above the law and continued to deal class A drugs.

“Our Stronghold team will not tolerate this type of criminality, which often targets the most vulnerable people in our society.

“We will not tire at removing drug dealers and their drugs from our communities and Elgour will now serve a prison sentence as a result of his actions.

“We rely on our communities to tackle our fight against drug dealing.”

“We remain absolutely committed to making the Thames Valley a hostile place for drug dealers and will bring offenders before the courts,” PC Ratcliffe added.
