Customers have slammed McDonald's branches across Buckinghamshire for hygiene issues, customer service and cold food.
Despite the fast food chain being a staple of the British high street, McDonald's restaurants across Bucks seem to have a not-entirely-satisfied customer base.
Restaurants in High Wycombe, Aylesbury and Milton Keynes tended to have a disproportionate number of 'Terrible' reviews on TripAdvisor, with some customers sharing stories about their experiences.
Here is our round-up of the McDonald's branches across Bucks, in order of best to worst based on their, sometimes damning, TripAdvisor ratings.
McDonald's at Unit 2, Beaconsfield services, Beaconsfield.
The best-rated McDonald's in Bucks according to TripAdvisor is the service station branch off the M40.
Out of 21 reviews, 8 customers gave it an 'Excellent' rating with one person writing: "Good quality McDonald's and you can sit outside by a lake with fish, ducks and red kites!"
Only 3 people gave it a 'Terrible' rating, with one complaining about slow service.
McDonald's at Midsummer Arcade, Milton Keynes.
This branch in Milton Keynes still managed to score a few 'Excellent' ratings, but 20 customer reviews out of 68 recounted their 'Terrible' visits to the restaurant.
One person wrote: "Service is not that fast, people were queuing up for too long and there wasn't enough seating."
McDonald's in Galley Lane, Great Brickhill, Milton Keynes.
Out of 12 TripAdvisor reviews, the McDonald's restaurant in Milton Keynes had a pretty even divide between 'Excellent' and 'Terrible' reviews, with 4 on either end of the scale.
Positive customer experiences included the praise of friendly staff and a nice atmosphere.
Negative reviews, meanwhile, complained about missing food items and incorrect orders.
McDonald's in Broadfields Retail Park, Aylesbury.
The McDonald's branch in Broadfields Retail Park, Aylesbury, had a whopping 34 'Terrible' reviews out of an overall 85.
One person wrote: "I ordered a coffee in the drive through and it took 30 minutes for them to give it to me. It was not even a busy day and I was told to wait but they forgot about my order."

Although this other McDonald's branch in Aylesbury has a lesser number of reviews, the balance between 'Terrible' and 'Excellent' ratings was striking.
7 out of 17 customer experiences were 'Terrible', with 4 rated at the other end of the scale and the rest falling somehwere inbetween.
One user wrote: "I waited over 25 minutes for my meal. The restaurant was packed with Deliveroo/Just Eat drivers. They appear to prioritise the delivery drivers over the walk-in customers."
McDonald's in Dovecot Road, High Wycombe.
This branch in High Wycombe had 30 'Terrible' ratings out of a total 69 customer reviews.
Although one person praised the restaurant's quick service and polite staff, another had a different experience.
They wrote: "I ordered my food and then waited for nearly 30 minutes with no food coming across the counter for anyone. I decided to get a refund and leave. There were plenty of staff but it was a total shambles."
McDonald's Service Station, Buckingham.
The McDonald's outlet at a Buckingham service station managed to score 'Terribly' on exactly half of its 14 reviews, with just one achieving an 'Excellent' rating.
One person wrote: "Not very fast for fast food. Would have probably been quicker for me to kill the cow myself."
While another complained: "Our food was stone cold and the burger construction looked as though it had been thrown across the kitchen in the box."
McDonald's in Holmers Farm Way, High Wycombe.
Another branch with sparse, but generally negative, customer feedback, the McDonald's in Holmers Farm Way had 4 out of 7 reviews left under a 'Terrible' rating.
One user wrote: "Cold food, had to wait a long time as they missed my order initially and then bagged up the wrong order. Not expecting Michelin Star service but come on, sort the basics out."
McDonald's in Portway, Milton Keynes.
The McDonald's restaurant in Portway, Milton Keynes, is another branch that has a disproportionate number of 'Terrible' ratings on TripAdvisor.
Out of 48 reviews, 28 were 'Terrible'.
One person zeroed in on the parking fees outside the restaurant chain. They wrote: "Beware, if you stay over the 90 minutes parking limit, you will get a parking ticket for £100."
McDonald's in Watling Street, Milton Keynes.
Another McDonald's in Milton Keynes didn't fare much better, with 7 scathing 'Terrible' reviews out of a total 11.
One customer shared their experience, writing: "I saw one of the workers stick their finger in my McFlurry and then laugh about it with one of their friends. I am fuming and so disappointed in these young employees, what if they had some kind of disease I could have caught?"
McDonald's on McConnell Drive, Wolverton, Milton Keynes.
The worst rated McDonald's in Buckinghamshire, according to TripAdvisor is an honour bestowed upon the fast food spot in Wolverton, Milton Keynes.
Out of 30 reviews, this restaurant racked up 22 'Terrible' ratings, with just one meeting the 'Excellent' threshold.
One unhappy customer wrote: "The inside tables aren't clean and there's slow service with no one serving at the pay tills. If using drive through, you should bring a camper because it takes ages."
