A theatre in High Wycombe is a finalist in local awards that celebrate the best businesses for all the family.
The Wycombe Swan theatre has been named a finalist in the Bucks Little Ankle Biters' Awards, which is based on nominations from members of the public.
The awards' categories include 'Best Family Attraction', 'Best Museum' and 'Best Local Independent Business' alongside 'Best Theatre', for which the Wycombe Swan nabbed a finalist spot.
The Swan theatre is a long-running entertainment hub right in the centre of the town tha hosts a wide range of performers and events.
The venue is a staple for both household-name comedians and touring West End shows, with a complex that spans the main theatre, the Town Hall and the Oak Room.
A spokesperson from the Wycombe Swan expressed how delighted the theatre was to have been nominated aside other local venues.
They said: “It’s a wonderful boost to the team at the Wycombe Swan to have been nominated by the public and by families who have enjoyed their experience with us over the last twelve months.
"We are extremely grateful and will continue to deliver the best possible service for everyone. We look forward to hearing the results and wish the other brilliant theatres luck."
The Swan missed out on claiming last year's 'Best Theatre' title, with the top spot going instead to Aylesbury Waterside Theatre.
Fellow finalists in the 2023 category are the Aylesbury venue alongside Milton Keynes Theatre, The Arches Theatre in Olney, and the Elgiva Theatre in Chesham.
Little Ankle Biters are an organisation built around providing a comprehensive guide to family-friendly activities in Buckinghamshire.
Their 2023 local businesses awards are sponsored by travel company TUI, and winners will be announced via Instagram Live on a later date in March.
