A GIANT sinkhole appeared on a road near Buckinghamshire.
Drivers were warned of a deep sinkhole on Chinnor Hill near Stokenchurch and Saunderton after a section of the road collapsed.
A resident, who asked not to be named, rushed to warn others on Princes Risborough Facebook group on March 6 before serious damage to anyone's car.
She said: “Be careful driving. I have put a cone in the hole and in front of it.”
The concerned resident also reported the sinkhole to Oxford County Council’s FixMyStreet service, which also operates in Buckinghamshire for people to report problems.
On Tuesday March 7, the road was closed for works to fix the hole, the woman said.
By Wednesday morning, the sinkhole had been filled.
