A GRANDAD from High Wycombe has 'found fame' after appearing on Ant and Dec's Saturday Night Takeaway.
The latest episode of the live show saw the entertaining duo go undercover in a London-based Premier Inn hotel, as they pranked Ernest.
Wondering what was happening and how he could check in, Ernest began pressing buttons on the screen sharing that he had an interest in technology and wanted to see what would happen.
But when a microphone popped out of the machine, he began to play with it leading to it being broken, as the AI receptionist, controlled by Ant and Dec told him to "stop touching me" to which Ernest replied, "I should be so lucky."
Viewers were quick to love Ernest and his antics as he even accepted the free underwear and socks.
Ernest's grandaughter Hannah Armstrong spoke to the Bucks Free Press about his TV experience.
She said: "My grandad is loving his new found fame and all the compliments he’s been getting since the show and people coming across our TikTok page and loving our videos."
Hannah and Ernest went to London On June 22 last year to a Premier Inn.
She had to come up with a lie to get her Grandad to London so explained how she'd won a competition to see a show.

"I had to come up with a lie to get my Grandad to London so I made out I’d won a competition to see a show and that’s why we were going to the hotel for the night. I made an excuse to leave when we arrived and asked him to check us in and this is where Ant and Dec pranked him," she said.
"He had absolutely no idea that he was being pranked and didn’t cotton on which made it even better!
"We were then invited to the studio on Saturday 4th March to be in the audience for the live show which was so much fun to be a part of.
"When we were leaving the studio, everyone wanted their photo taken with him which he thought was great.
"The whole experience was amazing and Ant and Dec were brilliant and I can’t thank them enough."
