Wycombe Wanderers legend and former club captain Matt Bloomfield is expected to take over as the side’s new manager.
The 39-year-old is due to replace the outgoing Gareth Ainsworth, who is soon to be announced as the latest man in charge of Queens Park Rangers.
A source told the Free Press that Bloomfield's potential re-arrival at Adams Park 'looks certain,' just four months after taking the job at Wanderers’ rivals, Colchester United, in League Two.
An announcement on Gareth Ainsworth's future is expected soon.

Since taking over at the Colchester Community Stadium, the much-loved midfielder, who scored 42 goals in 557 matches for the Chairboys, has guided the Essex-based team from 21st to 18th.
They are nine points off the relegation zone, and Bloomfield won the Manager of the Month award in January, after picking up 13 points from six games.
