A South African restaurant in Marlow High Street has been named the town's 'Best Breakfast'.
Fego cafe-restaurant were named the 'Best Breakfast' in the area by community members at Marlow FM's Hidden Gem awards on Saturday night.
The chain, which has its origins in South Africa, has been a staple of Marlow's High Street for more than 20 years, with a bright and flavourful menu reflecting the ethos of 'feel-good feasting'.
The Hidden Gem Awards were created to highlight the community's favourite places and organisations, with prizes for 'Best Cuppa' and 'Best Sunday Roast' also up for grabs.
Manager of Fego, Val, said the restaurant was one of the first in Marlow to open during the pandemic for takeaways and deliveries.
She added: “The award really means a lot. It’s a great community, there’s lots of good people and businesses around the area.
“We’re very proud to have been voted the best by the people of Marlow, especially by the regular visitors to the restaurant.”
Fego specialises in serving brunch and alongside its pastries and burgers, the eatery serves two kinds of pancakes, perfect for celebrating Shrove Tuesday.
The seasonal fruit pancakes come topped with a fruit compote, fresh fruit and cinnamon honey butter, and the loaded pancakes combine maple syrup with all the best bits of a full English.
