A 12-year-old boy has been rushed to hospital in a serious condition following a crash on the M40 earlier today.
Emergency services were called to the M40 between Junction 2 Beaconsfield and Juncton 1a M25 at around 1.20pm.
The crash involved three vehicles.
A spokesman for South Central Ambulance Service said: "A 12-year-old boy has been taken to the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford with a head injury. He is in a serious condition. Nobody else was seriously injured.
"The slip road is likely to be closed until the early evening – but we cannot give an estimate on how long."
