MISSING cat has sparked a rescue operation in Buckinghamshire.

The owner of a Siamese cat Mili made an emotional plea to help find the “much loved” pet.

The disappearance of the one-and-a-half-year-old, usually timid and skittish cat from her new home on Amersham's Roundwood Road was out of character, her owner said.

Animal Search UK’s Missing Pet Search Team were heading to Amersham today (February 16) with hopes of finding Mili.

Her concerned owner said: “Mili is much missed and loved at home and we are very concerned that she might be trapped or hurt somewhere. So please get in touch with any information and check sheds and garages. We just want her back home where she belongs."

Mili was wearing a light blue collar when she went missing on February 6.

Animal Search UK media team’s Alisha Turner said: “This is entirely out of character for Mili, and we fear that she is hiding scared somewhere. She is timid and skittish, so if you do see Mili, please give us a call and do not approach.

“She usually doesn't leave the garden, so her owner is concerned she might be hurt or trapped."
