THE POLICE caught an illegal driver using ‘false details’ at the weekend.
A police patrol was alerted after an automatic number plate camera spotted a Range Rover in High Wycombe on Saturday February 11.
The car had been without insurance since December last year, and the male driver only had a provisional licence, the officers found during checks.
Thames Valley Police said on social media: “Things didn’t seem right and the policeman’s nose came into play as it was clear something was up with the driver who answered to his real name when trying to blag it with false details."
The driver had tried to evade the law by insuring his car under his pseudonym, the force added.
