POLICE have launched an investigation after thieves targeted a residential road in Buckinghamshire.

Thames Valley Police was alerted after thieves targeted a parked vehicle on Greenway in Chesham in the early hours of Saturday morning.

The incident happened around at 4am on February 4.

The force said: “An investigation into this is ongoing and anyone with information is asked to call 101 quoting reference 43230052293.”

  • Always lock the doors
  • Close windows and the sunroof to prevent ‘fishing’
  • Secure the number plates with tamper-resistant screws
  • Fit locking, anti-tamper wheel nuts to secure alloy wheels
  • Secure anything that’s on the outside of the vehicle
  • Take items with you or hide them
  • Hide electrical items and leave no clues
  • Use property marking systems on tools, use a lockable tool cabinet or install a small camera inside a van
  • Park in well-lit and busier areas
  • Take important documents with you
  • Choose parking wisely to discourage catalytic converter theft
