A RESTAURANT owner has had bookings cancelled after a car crashed into the front of his shop.
Yusef Akgun went to open the Tarrus restaurant on Station Road, Beaconsfield on Saturday morning (January 21) when he noticed the front window was smashed in and the handrailings were broken.
Having spoken to neighbours, he believes the incident happened on Friday night after the restaurant closed.
He said: "I noticed the shop front was broken and handrailings. My CCTV is not working but it's very bad. The windows are broken and our customers are not happy. I've had people cancel bookings.
"We've put temporary waterproof tape around the window but it is cold inside and people want to leave.
"I don't know how much the damage will cost. I work inside he restaurant too and it's just another added thing.
"Personaly, this is very bad timing and we're very worried as this is a very difficult time. January is already quiet and now customers are cancelling bookings."
Yusef is appealing for help and if anyone has information to tell police.
The restaurant remains open at this time and staff have tried to make it as comfortable as possible for customers.
The incident has been reported to Thames Valley Police.
