A WOMAN in her 60s and a man in his 70s have died in a crash involving eight vehicles on the M40 this morning.
Police were called to the M40 between Junction 5 and 4 southbound at 8.15am following reports of a collision.
A woman in her 60s and a man in his 70s died at the scene, police confirmed.

Their next of kin have been informed and re being supported by specially trained officers.
A further two people suffered serious injuries and were taken to hospital where they remain.
Overall, ten people have sustained minor injuries, with a number of them being taken to hospital for additional checks.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following a fatal RTC on the M40 in South Buckinghamshire.
Detective Chief Inspector Mike Bettington, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “Our thoughts remain with the family and friends of the two people who died.
“We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed the collision, or who may have dash-cam footage, to please get in touch.
