Wycombe Wanderers’ away fixture at Bristol Rovers has been postponed due to an ‘unsafe playing surface’.

The match, which was scheduled for Saturday, January 21, will now be played at a later date as freezing temperatures have impacted the pitch at the Memorial Stadium.

The two clubs had only met 25 days ago with the Chairboys defeating the Gas 2-1 at Adams Park.

A statement from the club read: "The freezing weather conditions have turned standing water into frozen areas which have led to an unsafe playing surface.

"A date for the rearranged fixture will be announced soon.

"All purchased tickets will remain valid for the rearranged fixture and should be retained.

"Information relating to refunds will be announced once the new date is known; fans are urged not to contact the ticket office with refund requests until this point."
