Wycombe Wanderers manager Gareth Ainsworth has revealed that centre back Alfie Mawson could potentially return to the Chairboys squad this weekend against Bristol Rovers.
The 29-year-old has not played for the club since the 1-0 home victory over Ipswich Town on December 17.
He has since missed Wanderers’ last four matches which have resulted in two wins and two defeats.

Speaking ahead of the away trip to the Pirates on January 21, Ainsworth said: “Alfie Mawson is the building.
“It has been well documented that he has had numerous issues in the past with the knees, and that he has struggled for game time in recent seasons.
“So we want to make sure that we can get the most out of him this season.

“If that means him missing games to make sure he is 100 per cent fit and at his best, then that is what we have to do.
“But he is back in contention for Saturday, and we will make sure we’re looking forward to seeing what we can do against Bristol Rovers as they are a very good side.”
