Police units were called to Marlow after reports of an intoxicated person driving a car in the town.
As officers arrived the driver was parking up but after failing a roadside breath test he was arrested on January 13.
The driver provided an evidential specimen of the breath of 86ug. The legal limit is 35ug.
He was subsequently charged and will be in court over the coming facing disqualification from driving.
A Thames Valley Police social media post said: "Yesterday, our Amersham unit was deployed from TVP South Buckinghamshire to reports of an intoxicated person driving a car in Marlow.
"He was promptly located as he was parking up.
"The driver failed a roadside breath test and was arrested.
"Following 'a rush of blood to the head' the driver also thought he was being arrested by Rasputin and Chris Martin from Coldplay. It didn’t help that he thought he looked like Tyson Fury.
"In custody, the driver provided an evidential specimen of breath of 86ug (the legal limit is 35ug).
"The driver was charged with this offence and will be off to court in the coming weeks where he will be disqualified from driving."
