A 70-year-old fitness enthusiast was the millionth visitor to walk through the doors of the Chilterns Lifestyle Centre.
Pam Addley from Amersham was surprised with a prize, when she entered the £38 million Chilterns Lifestyle Centre last week.
The yoga, body conditioning, pilates and aqua aerobics fan was awarded a free 12-month membership to help her goals of improving her fitness and weight this year.
Pam described the centre as a “real asset to the community, and said: “I turned 70 last summer. I love the classes at the centre and I need the motivation from the instructors. I am not terribly strong or flexible but I do think it is starting to improve - I like that the classes cater for all ages and abilities.”

She was “overwhelmed” and “delighted” to be the millionth customer. Although she was planning to continue going regardless, Pam now feels “obliged to really put the effort in to earn that reward.”
"I took advantage of the free day pass last year then joined on the platinum card. It is real bonus winning the membership," she said.
Chilterns Lifestyle Centre has a 25 metre, eight lane swimming pool, Clip and Clim wall, soft play area and a gym.
