The Marlow Town Twinning Association will cease to exist following a committee meeting.

The social group took part in exchange visits Budavar, District 1 of Budapest in line with the civic connection.

However, a planned visit from Budavar in 2020 was postponed due to Covid-19 pandemic.

Since then there has been “no interest shown to rearrange the visit”.

A council document reads: “Following a recent committee meeting the twinning link between Marlow and Budavar has sadly ceased.

“A planned visit from Budavar in 2020 was postponed due to Covid and there had been no interest shown to rearrange the visit.

“In addition, there has been no interest for a chairman to take over from Cllr Cadman."

However, the mayor of Marlow, Cllr Richard Scott has confirmed the civic twinning link between Marlow and Budavar will remain.
