FESTIVE season in Buckinghamshire starts off with ‘a bang’ as Christmas panto gets rave reception.
This year The Elgiva theatre in Chesham has brought Sleeping Beauty to life as a family-friendly pantomime production full of songs, dancing, humour and festive glitz.
The cast includes pantomime star CITV’s Chris Edgerley as Chester the Jester, Elgiva regular Sean Luckham as the Dame, Queen Gertie the Gorgeous and Laura Bazely as the heroine hoping to break an evil spell, many others and support from local dance school youth talent.
Theatre Manager David Cooper said: “This year our audiences have been more enthusiastic than ever! The superb cast are giving their all in every performance and the auditorium has been ringing with clapping and cheering, not to mention hearty audience participation! Every performance is a riot from start to finish, and Sleeping Beauty is just the ticket to get the festive season properly off with a bang!”
Sleeping Beauty runs until Saturday December 31, and tickets are available from the Box Office, in person, over the phone at 01494 582900 or online.
