WEATHER forecast for the Thames Valley area warns of dangerous road conditions at the weekend.
A rain and snow storm was expected to cause travel disruption between 3am and 11am on Sunday December 18 across Buckinghamshire and Berkshire.
The Met Office issued a Yellow ice warning for London and the South East as a rain, sleet and snow front was pushing northeast across the UK.
Although sleet or snow in the South East was expected to last only up to two hours, it could create icy conditions when falling on frozen surfaces, the national weather service said.
Drivers and other road users were warned of injuries caused by slips and falls on icy surfaces and icy patches on untreated roads, pavements and cycle paths.
Travel by road, air and train could be “disrupted or delayed”, the Met Office said.
