A hair salon in Holmer Green has been named the best in England.

Jennie's hair salon, based on Lynford Parade, won the award at the finals of the England Business Awards competing against 300 other salons.

The award was given after a decision from four judges, input from six mystery shoppers and feedback from the public.

The salon was established in 1975 and has spanned three generations, currently being run by Beccy and Cassy

A spokesperson said: ”We are still extremely humbled and shocked to have won this award we thank the clients and fellow villagers for getting behind us."

Since winning the award, the hair salon launched its own brand of products.

The new products were launched on December 12 were clients, friends and locals were welcomed into the store to celebrate the recent success.
