Two Marlow pubs have been named in the top 50 gastropubs in the UK.

Both are owned by celebrity chef Tom Kerridge, with the Hand & Flowers and The Coach making the list.

The Coach was listed as number 13 with the Hand & Flowers sneaking into the top 10 being named tenth on the list.

The Hand & Flowers is the only pub in the UK to have two Michelin stars and was described by the list as a spectacle in the culinary world.

The Hand & Flowers was Kerridge's first pub and opened in 2005, gaining its first Michelin star within a year and achieving the second in 2012.

Dishes you can expect to be served here include duck liver parfait with orange chutney and toasted brioche; Brittany guinea fowl breast with poultry tart, poppy seed turnips, almond butter, tempura fillet and pear ketchup; and the Hand & Flowers chocolate and ale cake with Pedro Ximenez and Rebellion Beer ice cream.

The Hand & Flowers also features a private dining room for special occasions, The Shed, which can accommodate up to nine pre-booked guests and has a four-course menu priced at £155 per person.

Only just three places below The Hand & Flowers is The Coach, which is only down the road.

The Coach earned its own Michelin star in 2017, offering a range of small, tapas-style dishes.

The pub takes bookings on the day from 9am meaning it is often filled with Marlow residents enjoying a pint or watching sports.

Menu highlights have included the Coach burger with pulled pork and dill pickle; salt cod Scotch egg with red pepper puree and Iberico Chorizo; and mushroom ‘risotto’ Claude Bosi.
