A HOME in Amersham was damaged by a fire at the weekend.
Firefighters were alerted to a blaze at a home on High Street in Old Amersham on Sunday (December 4) around 5.53pm.
One appliance and crew from Amersham, one from High Wycombe and an officer arrived to find a fire in the front study of a home.
Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service said: “Smoke was issuing from the house when they arrived.”
To tackle the blaze, the crews used two sets of breathing apparatus, one hose reel, a thermal imaging camera and a positive pressure ventilation fan.
The house was around 10 percent damaged by fire and around 40 percent by smoke, the fire service said.
