Pupils at Wycombe High have won the school £500 by finishing third in a national science competition.
The students managed to get themselves on the podium at the second annual Science at Heart and Lung School Teams Prize.

Organised by the National Heart and Lung Institute and the British Heart Foundation’s Centre of Research Excellence at the Imperial College London, the 12 students each received a certificate for their understanding of the respiratory system, which saw their project focus on inhalers and asthma.

Headteacher, Nicola Renyard, said: “Our school ethos is that our students can achieve anything they want to, and we are really proud that so many of the young women here excel at science.
“This is a fantastic achievement.”
