A charity that focuses on helping the homeless in Aylesbury has recently been given a whopping £1,000 donation.
The Aylesbury Homeless Action Group, which aims to reduce the impact that homelessness and insecure housing in the town, received the money from the housebuilders Barratt David Wilson North Thames.
The cash injection came from the business’ community fund project which helps charities and non-profit organisations in the community.
James Boultbee, Acting CEO of Aylesbury Homeless Action Group, added: “Thanks to the donation from Barratt David Wilson North Thames, we can continue to provide support to those in the local community who are facing a housing crisis.

“We have future plans to offer a rent deposit scheme and to expand the services we provide for those in need.”
Marc Woolfe, Head of Sales for Barratt David Wilson North Thames, said: “It is shocking to see how many people are homeless across the country.
“As a responsible housebuilder, it’s important to us to extend help to those without a home, particularly in the communities where we build.
“We hope our donation will help support the crucial work Aylesbury Homeless Action Group are doing every day.”

Barratt David Wilson North Thames has also donated the same figure to the Heart of Bucks Community Foundation.
The charity, which was formed in 2000, helps to improve the lives of people in Buckinghamshire and has so far helped 4,000 community organisations.
