A SPATE of catalytic converter thefts at a train station in Bucks has resulted in police to take action.
Chiltern Railways hosted a public drop-in event at Beaconsfield station on Thursday, December 1, in collaboration with the British Transport Police, Kwik Fit and SmartWater.
As theft from car parks, particularly of catalytic converters, increases, Chiltern Railways have teamed up with the British Transport Police to offer motor vehicle safety advice and inform customers about how they can reduce the chances of theft.
The event also gave customers a chance to hear what Chiltern Railways and the British Transport Police are already doing to combat theft at station car parks.
Chiltern railway passengers were also able to book in for free catalytic converter marking at Kwik Fit, High Wycombe, which takes place on Sunday, December 4.
This offer is for Chiltern Railways customers only.
