A NEW restaurant is set to open its doors today at a “flagship” Aylesbury development.
Diners in Aylesbury have a new eatery to try after Opuz, a Mediterranean restaurant and bar, joins a string of businesses at the new The Exchange complex.
The Exchange, a 47-apartment and business complex spanning 2,515ft designed to regenerate the Exchange Street area, has already welcomed Herali, Rococo Lounge, The Grill Steakhouse, Vietnamese Street Food and Zizzi.

Buckinghamshire Council’s Deputy Cabinet Member for Town Centre Regeneration Rachael Matthews said: “This is wonderful news for residents and visitors to Aylesbury who will be spoilt for choice in terms of dining destinations.
“We are keen for Aylesbury to be seen as a location of choice for those who want to enjoy a meal out with family or friends.
“We have worked hard to ensure a mouth-watering mix of independent and chain restaurants to suit every taste and budget.”
The development was completed in March 2019, followed by the opening of the first restaurant in April 2019 after the development of the nearby Waterside Theatre, Waitrose and the Travelodge.
The Exchange, owned by Bucks Council, has one and bedroom apartments on the upper storeys, while commercial units are on the ground floor.
The development is "the culmination of many years of hard work, firstly in the construction, design and planning stages and latterly in the economic development and work to encourage new business growth," said John Chilver, Bucks Council's Cabinet Member for Resources and Accessible Housing.
“We are proud that the hard work has paid off and we are delighted to finally complete the project which sees Aylesbury’s first purpose-built mixed restaurant, commercial and residential development.
“The design of the space has been well thought through and offers visitors a modern and welcoming multipurpose location to enjoy spending time in.”
