AN ELDERLY man has tragically died after being involved in a crash in a quiet countryside lane.
Thames Valley Police confirmed the driver, a man in his eighties, died at the scene of the crash in Fingest Lane, Sough Buckinghamshire.
A red VW Polo collided with a large rockery adjacent to the junction with Fingest Road around 1.30am today (Nov 18).
The force is looking for witnesses and believe no other vehicles were involved.
Investigating officer, PC Thom Piercy, of the Joint Roads Policing Unit, based at Amersham police station, said: “Very sadly, a man has died following this collision and our thoughts are with his family, who are being supported at this difficult time.
“I would ask anybody who was in the area at the time who witnessed this collision to please get in touch with Thames Valley Police either by reporting online or by calling 101, quoting reference number 43220519720.
“If you were driving in the area and have dash-cam, or if you have any CCTV footage, I would urge you to please check this and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist this investigation.”
