The police tried to catch a moped rider on Sunday, who was seen using a mobile phone in High Wycombe.
An unmarked police car spotted the rider of a black BMW moped, who was using a mobile phone.
Despite using blue lights to signal for the rider to stop, the rider “has decided he’d rather make a run for it and has gone off road driving off into a field,” Thames Valley Police said.
The rider then fell off in the field, abandoned his bike and ran off.
After recovering the moped and making enquiries, the officers found out the vehicle was stolen in London two years ago, and was being ridden using cloned number plates.
