Motorists were warned of delays this morning after a crash temporarily closed lanes on the M25.
Drivers travelling southbound on the M25 were told to allow extra time after a car smash caused congestion on the motorway between Junction 17 at Rickmansworth and Junction 16 to M40.
Despite efforts to reopen all lanes going anti-clockwise, queues of six miles were reported at around 9.46am on November 14, National Highways warned.
The earlier crash had caused spillage on the motorway, the highways authority said.
All lanes are now open.
