AN INDIAN restaurant has received positive feedback from food hygeine inspectors.
Following an inspection by Food Standards Agency officers, Mowchack Indian Restaurant in Wycombe Road, Stokenchurch has been given a four out of five food hygiene rating.
Inspectors visited the restaurant on July 25.
The food standards agency inspects businesses and organisations scoring them a rating out of five, with ‘zero’ meaning urgent improvement is necessary, and with ‘five’ being the ‘very good’ top mark.
Mowchack received a four rating, which means hygiene standards are good.
There is room for improvement though as the cleanliness and condition of facilities, the area which checks the restuarant has ventilation, hand washing facilities and pest control to enable good food hygiene scored as generally satisfactory.
It means that of Buckinghamshire's 762 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 530 (70 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
