An open sculpture exhibition will be held in the grounds of Harelyford Estate in Marlow.
The exhibition will showcase James Doran-Webb's brand-new collection from November 11 to 16, where he will be presenting ten life-size sculptures, including a puffin water feature and a charred wooden horse.
Doran-Webb is a British-born sculptor, based in Cebu, Philippines who works with recycled driftwood and metal to make impressive sculptures inspired by the natural world.
The artist's unconventional childhood of travelling across the world led to his passion for nature and the animal kingdom.
He has been collecting driftwood for over 20 years from the islands that make up the picturesque Malay Archipelago.
His large collection of wood means he has the ability to select from a large range of pieces to give his animals a realistic appearance.
James’ work is showcased at The RHS Chelsea Flower Show each May and at Singapore’s iconic Gardens by the Bay.
He also created an exclusive Giraffe sculpture for the Botanic Pavillion at the 2019 International Horticultural Exposition in Beijing, the installation was crowned the ‘most Instagrammable’ site of the exhibition and still stands on top of the roof to this day.
He has also committed to an ‘80,000 trees’ project, where for every kilo of driftwood James buys, he plants a seedling on barren hills in North and South Cebu.
