Eden’s Giving Tree returns to High Wycombe to lend a helping hand to those most in need in the local community this Christmas.

Shoppers can pick a gift request tag from the tree located next to Eden Shopping Centre's customer services, buy a gift and return it unwrapped, along with the tag, to the tree by December 21.

In 2021, over 600 gifts were donated to local charities Wycombe Homeless Connection and Saunderton Lodge.

This year, Eden’s Giving Tree supports Wycombe Homeless Connection as well as a new charity partner, Wycombe Food Hub.

Wycombe Homeless Connection’s fundraising and marketing manager, Heather Stanley said: “We are thrilled with the continued support from Eden Shopping Centre and their customers.

“Last year’s Giving Tree donations of warm clothing and other essential items were greatly welcomed by our clients who were rough sleeping.

“Times are tough for everyone, especially at the moment, so every single gift that’s kindly donated this year will not only help our clients, but it reminds us all that when a community cares for each other, it brings light and hope even in the darkest of times.”

Marketing manager of Wycombe Food Hub, Mark Page said: "We are extremely thankful to Eden for giving us this opportunity.

“Our customers are going to be delighted with additional donations this festive season. Not only will it help make Christmas more affordable for them during these financially challenging times, but they’ll be able to enjoy receiving food and gifts they might not have done otherwise.

“Whether it’s a box of biscuits, a Christmas cake, jams or tea and coffee, they’ll all go towards creating fantastic festive hampers for our food hub users.”
