Wycombe Abbey School in High Wycombe, Buckinghamshire, organized their annual bonfire event in order to raise money for their school charity: Ripple Africa.
In the lead up to the day, pupils from each Senior House at school created bonfire guys around the theme of their House colour. The final pieces were quite substantial in size and the Headmistress, Mrs Duncan, judged the winners based on their interpretation of the theme of their House colour as well as the quality of their presentation.
However, the highlight of the night was the myriad charity stalls that sold a plethora of items such as old books, recycled clothes and homemade honey.
“It really is the night I look forward to most at school!” said Sasha, a student who had been at Wycombe for the past three years.
The night ended with everyone heading outside to watch the bonfire and fireworks display. This professional display was choreographed to music which everyone really enjoyed despite the chilly weather.
