Thames Valley Police were called to Morrisons in High Wycombe after a man was "seen with a knife".
A man was arrested on Thursday, November 4 on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
Officers were called to Temple End at around 8pm to a report of a man with a knife.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police was called to Temple End around 8pm yesterday to a report of a man with a knife.
“Officers attended and a 45-year-old man, of no fixed abode, was arrested on suspicion of possessing an offensive weapon in a public place.
“He remains in custody.”
