Radio and TV presenter Chris Evans will begin this weekend's 33rd edition of the Marlow Half Marathon.
The event held on Sunday, November 6 will also have runners attempting the Marlow 7.
Both races start in Marlow High Street with the runners assembling in Higginson Park.
The route heads up the high street, through the Chiltern Hills and into the Hambleden Valley before returning to the town and finishing at Marlow Sports Club.
Having missed his opportunity to start the race in 2021 due to Covid-19, Chris Evans will start this year’s event.
Chris and his wife Natasha are both keen runners and can often be seen running in and around Marlow
The annual event is held on the first Sunday in November meaning it is always close to Bonfire Night with the race being started by the 'bang' of an exploding rocket.
All the proceeds go to charities local to Marlow, High Wycombe and Maidenhead.
Since 1990 the event has raised over £235,000 for local with this year’s supported charities including the Marlow Ukraine Collective, Samaritans and the Marlow Sports Club.
Entries are still available and there will be entries on the day.
