UPDATE: Man, 80s, killed after being hit by bus near station
Aylesbury Bus Station was closed by police following a crash as people were urged to keep away from the area.
Emergency services were at the scene last night (October 31) as Thames Valley Police confirmed at 5.30pm that the incident was likely to continue "for a while".
Around 12 police cars were spotted at the bus station as a road closure was in place and the bus station was cordoned off.
Traffic reports showed the crash happened on the A41 Friarage Road with the road being closed both ways between Station Way West and Station Way East (Morrisons Roundabout).
The road reopened at around 7:30pm. Police added that passengers should expect delays to bus services, with many routes being diverted away from the bus station.
Thames Valley Police said: "There is a large police presence around Aylesbury Bus Station while we deal with an incident.
"This is like to go on for a while.
"We would ask that if you are able, to keep away from the town centre as the traffic is building."
A later update confirmed the nature of the incident. Police said: "Officers are on scene following a road traffic collision at Aylesbury bus station.
"People are asked to avoid the area and a road closure is in place.
"There might be some delays to bus services.
"We would thank members of the public for their patience."
The Bucks Free Press has approached Thames Valley Police for an update on the incident.
