POLICE have warned to avoid the town centre in Aylesbury after a crash near the bus station.
Thames Valley Police scrambled a large police presence to the bus station off the A41 - with around 12 police cars spotted at the scene earlier this evening.
The force confirmed a road closure is in place as a result of a crash which was first reporter shortly after 5pm, and the bus station has been cordoned off.
It said the disruption around the incident would likely 'go on for a while' and urged people to 'keep away' from the area as investigations are ongoing.
Traffic reports show the crash happened on the A41 Friarage Road. It has been closed both ways between Station Way West and Station Way East (Morrisons Roundabout). The road has since reopened.
Police added for passengers to expect delays to bus services this evening, with many routes being diverted away from the bus station.
Red Rose Travel updated passengers with its changes, as Service 7, 10, SR1, 16/17/50/60/100 were unable to access bus station. Passengers are advised to board at Exchange Street for Services 16/17/7/50/60/100 and For Service SR1/10/50/60 board from Morrison.
Dan's Buses also tweeted: "Service X6 and other bus services will now depart from the Aylesbury Waterside theatre due to the bus station being closed. We apologise for the inconvenience caused."
Red Line Buses said: "Service update 2, 4, 6, 11, 14, 110, 130, & X20 These services are unable to serve Aylesbury Bus Station due to a police road closure. Journeys will be operated at the next available bus stop. Delays to are likely to be experienced as a consequence."
Red Eagle Buses said: "Service 61/62 update Emergency closure of Aylesbury Bus Station by police. Service 61 and 62 unable to access bus station. Passengers are advised to board at Exchange Street Bus Stops opposite Waterside Theatre."
