Three men in balaclavas were seen approaching an elderly couple before stealing their catalytic converter in a car park.
Eyewitnesses saw the men jump out of a van before approaching the car in the disabled bay on Thursday (October 10) at the Knavesbeech Industrial Estate in Loudwater, High Wycombe.
Thames Valley Police (TVP) were called to the incident at around 12:30pm but did not attend a Carpetright shopworker said.
They added: "Someone approached him [the victim] wearing a balaclava. All three had balaclavas, jumped out of their van, took what they needed and went off."
A TVP spokesperson said: “Thames Valley Police has received a report of a catalytic converter theft from a car in a car park on Knaves Beech Way, at around 12.35pm on Thursday (20/10).
“Following enquiries, the investigation has been filed pending further information coming to light.
