THERE are few better ways to welcome in the spooky season than with a trip to a pumpkin patch.

This half-term, families can visit Odds Farm Park near Beaconsfield to enjoy their annual Pumpkin Festival.

The family-run farm has more than 4,000 gourds to choose from waiting to be picked.

Little ones can choose their own mini wheelbarrow before exploring the Oddlotment Pumpkin Patch to carefully select their own pumpkin to take home.

The Carving Corner will be open for families keen to pimp up their pumpkin without having to take the mess home.

Crafty visitors can also get stuck in at the autumn-themed arts and crafts area where there is plenty for younger guests to get creative with.

Head of Guest Operations at Odds Farm Park Louise Winslow said: “The Pumpkin Festival is one of our most colourful events at the farm.  The Pumpkin Patch is the perfect backdrop for an autumnal family photo, and we’ve set up special photo spots across the field to make it as simple as possible for everyone to get the perfect shot.”

There are also more than 30 breeds of different animals to visit and an outdoor adventure playground where kids can hop on the tractor and trailer ride or enjoy the giant indoor barn play area.

Louise added: “The return of our autumn-themed arts and crafts is also a highlight of the October half term. And also back this year is our Halloween trail giving little ones the chance to collect the clues while taking in the sights around the farm.”
