School children and teachers became their favourite superheroes for a day.
The special day at West Wycombe School in High Wycombe saw both staff and children give their own spin on what it means to be a superhero.
Outfits included Batman, Batgirl, Wonderwoman, Spiderman, Disney princesses and Hulk, while mayor of High Wycombe Arif Hussain attended as a guest judge on October 19.
The children also took part in a writing competition about their personal hero.
Year 4 pupil Nevaeh and Zac from Year 6 won vouchers donated by The Apple Orchard café for their entries - Nevaeh wrote about her mum and Zac wrote about Chris Packham, TV presenter and naturalist.

Zac said: “I wrote about Chris Packham because he has autism and he has achieved so much. Superhero Day reminded us that our hero doesn’t have to have super powers.”
Headteacher Ed Tang said: “It was such a fantastic day!
“I need to say a huge thank you to the staff for preparing such an engaging and exciting day for the children.
“Here at West Wycombe School, we are passionate about making learning fun and giving children experiences they won’t forget, like Superhero Day. The energy and excitement walking around school was a real highlight.”
