Rubbish dumped on the side of a residential road has plagued residents for months.
For three months now, the residents of Upper Belmont Road in Chesham have lived with the unsightly fly-tip right on their doorstep.
A man, who lives on the estate and didn’t want to be named because he works at a school, tried to deal with the rubbish months ago, but gave up on the fly-tip, which appeared to have an old kitchen and other building waste.
He said: “It’s ridiculous.
“It’s going all over the place.

“It’s been there for ages, it’s looking a mess and children from the estate are pulling it out, it’s going all over the street, and they’re smashing it against the floor.”
He first contacted Paradigm Housing, the owner of the estate, around two months ago, who told him they weren’t aware of the problem.
“Two weeks later, I phoned them up again, and said ‘look this is a joke now, people have started to dump their waste now into the fly-tip. No matter how you want to label it, people are starting to put their own rubbish in it – it’s fly-tipping.”
Paradigm Housing told him it wasn’t their responsibility and he should contact the Council, he claimed.
Buckinghamshire Council informed him the land is the responsibility of Paradigm.
He felt he was “pushed round and round in circles”, while more rubbish was piling up at the fly-tip.
“Someone’s tidied it up, but we know what’s going to happen.”
“I’m not going to clean it up, you know, it’s not my kitchen and it didn’t come from my house.
“Maybe what they do with fly-tipping is to go through it and see if they can find an address and go to the address.

Following his social media post about the “absolutely ridiculous” issue on OurChesham Facebook group, he was told someone was dealing with it.
“Good luck, because I’ve been trying to deal with it for the last three months and getting nowhere, and I’ve given up, because I’ve just been going in circles.
“There was a mattress and something else dumped on the playground.
“You can’t just let these things carry on. As you know, rubbish grows."
Buckinghamshire Council spokesperson confirmed the Council had contacted Paradigm “on a number of occasions about this waste, so they are aware.”
Paradigm Housing spokesperson said: "We take reports of fly-tipping on our land very seriously and try to find out who is responsible.
"When we are unable to do so we will arrange for the waste to be removed and we do this as quickly as we can as we want all our neighbourhoods to be pleasant places to live.
"We would not usually remove Hippo bags as they have been purchased for a specific reason and Hippo may have received payment for this service.
"However, as this bag has been there for some time and we have been unable to find out who bought the bag, we have now organised for it to be removed.
"We would like to apologise to our customers that, on this occasion, it took us longer to resolve the issue than we would usually expect.
"We work hard to minimise the impact of fly-tipping in our communities."
