A man who swallowed multiple wraps of cocaine whilst being searched by police has been jailed for three years and nine months.
On July 8 last year, officers stopped a vehicle that Nathan Henry, aged 35, of Fowler Road, Aylesbury was driving on Tyson Road at 1.45am.
Whilst officers were searching Henry he swallowed multiple wraps of cocaine that were in his possession.
However, he was taken to A&E so the drugs he ingested could be recovered.
Henry’s address was also searched, where multiple vapes containing THC and bags of cannabis were recovered.
In total, £2,500 worth of drugs were found in his possession.
Henry was charged on May 4 this year and has since been sentenced to prison at Aylesbury Crown Court on Wednesday (October 19).
He pleaded guilty to one count of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class A, namely cocaine, and two counts of being concerned in the supply of a controlled drug of class B, namely cannabis and liquid THC at Milton Keynes Magistrates’ Court on July 27 this year.
PC Ben McNeill said: “Thames Valley Police is committed to bringing drug dealers to justice and making its patch a hostile environment for them.
“I hope Nathan Henry’s conviction provides a warning to other drug dealers in the Thames Valley of what to expect if they continue their offending.
“Information from the public around drug-dealing plays an important role in developing intelligence into a proactive investigation.
