An armed police car and dog unit took chase last night after suspecting a vehicle was stolen.
The police unit in Milton Keynes pursued a grey Passat car with the driver driving up a footpath to try and avoid officers.
The driver then crashed the car into a fence with three people inside detained on suspicion of theft of the vehicle.
A Thames Valley Police spokesperson said: "Dog unit and ARV pursued this Passat in Milton Keynes this evening.
"It tried to lose us by driving dangerous up a footpath, but the driver ran out of talent and binned it into a fence.
"Three detained on suspicion of theft of vehicle."
