A FRENCH fine dining restaurant has received positive feedback from food hygeine inspectors.
Following an inspection by Food Standards Agency officers, The Vanilla Pod in West Street, Marlow has been given a four out of five food hygiene rating.
Inspectors visited the restaurant on September 7.
The food standards agency inspects businesses and organisations scoring them a rating out of five, with ‘zero’ meaning urgent improvement is necessary, and with ‘five’ being the ‘very good’ top mark.
The Vanilla Pod received a four rating, which means hygiene standards are good.
There is room for improvement though as management of food safety, the area where checks are in place to ensure that food sold or served is safe to eat, evidence that staff know about food safety, and the food safety officer has confidence that standards will be maintained in future, scored as generally satisfactory.
It means that of Buckinghamshire's 762 restaurants, cafes and canteens with ratings, 529 (69 per cent) have ratings of five and none have zero ratings.
