Aerial photos show the extent of the search for Leah Croucher as forensics and police detectives carry out their murder investigation.

Thames Valley Police identified human remains during forensic examinations in Loxbeare Drive, Milton Keynes, during the search for missing Leah Croucher.

The forensic examination continues and will do for some time, and it is likely to take some time to formally identify the deceased, the force said.

Leah’s family continue to be kept informed and updated, and the media have been asked to respect their privacy.

Police had cordoned off two neighbouring detached homes in Loxbeare Drive, Furzton, Milton Keynes, by Wednesday afternoon.

Uniformed officers stood in front of a white van outside one property as teams of forensics experts could be seen going into the other house.

A blue and white police tent had been pitched in the small front garden of one of the two-storey brick homes. This blocked the view of the door and part of the house.

Forensics experts could be seen getting specialist equipment from the white van parked on the drive of the neighbouring property, and also from a marked police truck on the street.
