A BUCKS village has featured in an interactive map of 100 key places in the history of the BBC.
Historic England has launched a new interactive map of 100 buildings and places around the UK today (October 13) to celebrate 100 years of the BBC.
The map features Grade II listed building St Mary's Church in Turville.
The small, medieval church is well-known as ‘St Barnabas’, the parish church of BBC hit sit-com ‘The Vicar of Dibley’.
The Vicar of Dibley was one of the BBC’s most popular TV comedies, running from November 1994 until January 2007.
The show was filmed throughout Turville witih the Church Cottage appearing too as the fictional home of Dawn French’s title character, Geraldine Granger.
The Buckinghamshire village is a popular location for film and TV crews, with the likes of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, Goodnight Mr Tom, Midsomer Murders and Killing Eve all being filmed there.
High Wycombe MP Steve Baker shared the news on social media, celebrating Bucks being listed on the map.
