A man in his 20s was killed in a early morning car crash in the Cressex area of High Wycombe.
At around 12.30am today (October 8) a blue VW Polo and a grey Citroen C4 were involved in a collision on Cressex Road at the junction of Coronation Road.
The driver of the Polo, a man in his twenties, was pronouced dead at the scene whilst the driver of the Citroen, a man in his fifties, sustained minor injuries.
The Polo driver's next of kin have been informed and are being supported by specially trained officers.
Thames Valley Police is appealing for witnesses and dash-cam footage following the fatal road traffic collision.
Officers have said that the crash is not linked to a firearms incident that occurred in Chairborough Road around the same time.
Investigating officer, Sergeant Edward Crofts, of the Joint Operations Roads Policing Unit, said: “We are appealing to anyone who may have witnessed this collision to please come forward.
“We would also ask anyone with dash-cams who may have been in the local area to check footage in case it has captured something that may assist the investigation.
