A CAR dealership has remained tight-lipped on rumours that have been circulating online that its High Wycombe site could soon be closing its doors.

The Perrys High Wycombe Ford car dealership, London Road, has found itself at the centre of online rumours that it could shut 'by the end of October'.

Unconfirmed social media reports claim the dealership was set to close this month, and operations were due to be moved to Aylesbury amid a takeover by Citygate car dealers.

However, this has not been confirmed by the Wycombe dealership which declined to comment.

Citygate also confirmed that no deal has been made regarding an aquisition. A Citygate employee said it was aware the retailer was for sale and while it had showed an interest, nothing has been confirmed regarding an acquisition. 

Customers took to social media over rumours and asked, if the site were to close, what will happen to existing service plans, and what would replace the London Road dealership.

One customer said: "I do hope they contact customers on service plans. Out of courtesy so we have a choice what to decide.

"I don't really want to travel far for a service."
