Police have been issuing advice after a house burglary in High Wycombe.

Officers handed out security advice packs to residents on Shelley Road following the reports of a burglary on their street.

Thames Valley Police issued this advice:

  • Lock all windows and doors while you are out
  • Check that side gates, sheds and garages are locked and tools or ladders are not accessible
  • Keep valuables out of sight

The social media post also said: "Make sure your home looks occupied by using a timer switch to turn on lights, a radio or TV at night."
